Compulsory Basic Training
Before you can ride any 2 wheeled vehicle you must complete a CBT course. This course is designed by the Driver Vehicle Agency and delivered by our specially trained instructors. When the course is finished you will be issued with a certificate allowing you to ride up to 125cc on the road with "L" plates displayed.
If you have completed at CBT on a category A2 or A bike then you can go forward and take tests in the relevant category:
1) Progressive Access - A2 Licence (19 years old).
Once you have held an A2 Licence for 2 years, you will be eligible to take your full "A" licence test.
2) Direct Access - Ages 24 or over
If you have reached 24 years of age you can take the direct access route i.e. CBT, Theory Test, Off Road and On Road practical tests
* This cost includes the hire of a bike, insurance and riding gear
** Based on an average of 6 hours tuition. Some riders may require extra tuition, this will be an additional cost
